As the world watches the rapid development of various countries throughout
Asia, it becomes evident that a multitude of opportunities are being created
for companies and individuals that possess the skills, experience, and
technology necessary to expedite this development. Global interest in these
markets is focused mostly on trade and manufacturing. With the existing
predictions of Asia becoming the top economic power in the world by the
twenty-first century, surpassing Europe, and the U.S., it stands to reason that
the governmental agencies in these countries recognize the need to upgrade
existing, and create new infrastructure to facilitate the future needs of their
expanding markets. New highways, roads, ports, railways, subways, and other
types of infrastructure will be a part of the projects to emanate from Asia,
particularly China and Southeast Asia. Resources necessary for planning and
implementing these projects will be in great demand.
BWI 's primary objective is to market software, hardware,
and consulting services to these regions. The specific projects targeted will
be those related to civil engineering, surveying, mapping, global positioning
systems (GPS), and geographic
information systems (GIS).
BWI has procured contracts for resale with some of the leading
manufacturers of hardware and software related to these fields. In addition,
BWI shares relationships with a great number of civil
engineering , surveying, and construction management firms, which BWI can team
with depending on the size and scope of a particular project.
BWI has specialists in GPS implementation, GIS systems, survey automation
and database systems. BWI's objective is to procure hardware and software
contracts, and to provide technical consulting along with provisions for
training. BWI also specializes in surveying (geodetic, GPS, cadastral,
boundary, control, topographic, and construction), CAD mapping, and GIS
